Waiver Wire: Week 8

25. October 2011  - Published by Dan Clasgens

PICKUP OF WEEK
RB Pierre Thomas (NO)
- After enjoying a season-high 15 touches and 125 yards in Week 7, Thomas is back on fantasy radars and should be scooped up if an impatient owner dumped him in your league.

QB
Christian Ponder (MIN)
- looked good in debut; has dynasty value
Shaun Hill (DET) - could see action if Matthew Stafford can't go
John Beck (WAS) - you could do worse for  bye-week filler

RB
Roy Helu (WAS)
- will get shot sooner rather than later
Alfonso Smith (ARZ) - likely to start for injured Beanie Wells
Bernard Scott (CIN) - due for a spot start this week
Javon Ringer (TEN) - will get crack if CJ2K keeps doing zero

WR
Demaryius Thomas (DEN)
- finally getting healthy and targets
Jabar Gaffney (WAS) - opportunities will increase with Moss out
Roy Williams (CHI) - temper your expectations, but worth a stab
Antonio Brown (PIT) - a decent bye week stab for desperate owners

TE
Visnthe Shiancoe (MIN)
- keep your eyes on; showed a pulse in Week 7
