Woodhead Ticket To Playboy Mansion

14. January 2011  - Published by Dan Clasgens

So I was lucky enough to be the 58th caller on Thursday night to Jeff Rickard and qualified for a spot in this weekend’s Playoff Fantasy Football Challenge on Sirius XM Fantasy Sports Radio.

The grand prize winner wins round-trip coach air transportation , four nights hotel accommodations, five Playboy Golf Parties including Lingerie/Pajama Celebration at Playboy Mansion, a Playboy Golf Gift bag including Playboy Golf Smoking jacket, transportation to and from Playboy Mansion and Golf Course and one player spot in the 2011 Playboy Golf Scramble Finals held at the Pacific Palms Golf Resort.

There are 25 qualifiers this week. Each qualifier selects one player from this week’s playoff slate. The top four scoring players along with last week’s top four player advance to the final round of eight. There was a random draft order generated and unfortunately I drew the 23rd out of 25 picks.

MY PICK: There wasn’t much left to choose from by time it got to me. Quarterbacks are at a premium and with all eight signal callers gone and the big name running backs and wide receivers off the board, I opted to go for the fences with Patriots’ running back Danny Woodhead. He’s capable of getting yards on the ground and led all New England players with 104 receiving yards against the Jets, his former team, the last time around.  With all the focus on the Jets’ secondary and Patriots’ receiver, look for Tom Brady to look to Woodhead early and often in the passing game.  If he can break one for a touchdown and approach 140 total yards I may be in business. I could have taken Marshawn Lynch or James Starks with the pick, but in the end felt that though both are safer plays that Woodhead has slightly more upside and potential to produce big numbers.

Playoff Fantasy Football

30. December 2008  - Published by Dan Clasgens

I couldn't do it. I couldn't let my fantasy season end.  Join me for some PLAYOFF FANTASY FOOTBALL. I have set up a league with the help of my friends at FAN STAR and now am recruiting some fantasy players to fun.

HERE'S HOW IT WORKS...

--$10 to get in (check/PayPal). I am hoping to get at least 20-30 people if not more to participate. Winner gets 70% of the pot, 2nd place gets 30%. The more people the bigger the pot!

--Each week you can choose whatever players you want to fill out your line-up, but once you use a player you can't use them again. That could lead to problems come Super Bowl time if you don't have anyone left, so there is startegy involved. YOU MUST SET LINE-UP WEEKLY.

--You choose 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 PK, 1 DL, 1 LB, and 1 DB weekly.

--Pretty standard scoring. We will reward 1 point per reception. For complete scoring see the game website.
