Game Balls: Week 2

It’s time to hand out our Game Balls for this week brought to you by Apex Awards

QB Game Ball - Robert Griffin III, WAS - 206 passing yards, 1 TD, 82 rushing yards, 2 rush TDs

It's time to consider RG3 as QB1 every week now. Yes, it's still early, but with his accuracy and the way he handles his offense and then throws in all those rushing TDs, well, he's a top 10 QB now. For those who drafted him as a backup, you now have decisions to make, but that's a good problem to have.

QB Honorable mention -Eli Manning, 510 passing yards, 3 TDs, 3 INTs. It's those 3 INTs that keep him from the top honor, but anyway who's read me here on GSI or followed me on Twitter (@wheelseditor), knows my man love for Eli.

RB Game Ball - Reggie Bush, MIA - 172 rushing yards, 2 TDs, 3 rec for 25 yards
When Daniel Thomas went inactive, it was expected that Bush would see a bump in his touches, but this type of performance was great for his owners, and heartbreaking for those who had to go against him (like me).

RB Honorable mention - CJ Spiller, BUF - 15 rushes, 123 yards, 2 TDs, 3 rec 47 yards. Hopefully Fred Jackson owners handcuffed Spiller and aren't missing Jackson at all.

WR Game Ball - Dwayne Bowe, KC - 8 catches, 102 yards, 2 TDs
Bowe is known as an inconsistent WR, but proved his worth as a WR1 with this type of performance.

WR Honorable mention - Danny Amendola, STL - 15 catches, 160 yards, 1 TD. In a PPR format Amendola was inspiring and if you started him, I tip my hat to you.

GAME-USED SOCK AWARD
RB - Darren McFadden, OAK - 11 rushes for 22 yards, 2 catches for 19 yards

Disgusting. It seems McFadden has a case of the Chris Johnsons. As in, letting down his fantasy owners in a nauseating way. McFadden's rushing yards are down big time, thus far, but last week redeemed it with a lot of catches. This week, he had all of 2 catches and thus gets the game-used sock award, deservingly so.
