Update: Early 2017 QB Fantasy Rankings

Free agency made its mark on my 2017 fantasy football rankings, with not only the signal callers that changed teams, but some of the other skill players that changed addresses.

Tom Brady was No. 2 on my list behind Aaron Rodgers even before the team acquired speedster Brandin Cooks from the Saints. That move only added to my confidence of the Patriots’ signal caller as my second fantasy QB off the board.

Kirk Cousins got a boost by staying in D.C. rather than heading to San Francisco or Clevevland (at least for now). The Redskins also helped matters by countering the loss of DeSean Jackson and Pierre Garcon with the signing of Terrell Pryor.

There’s plenty to like about the Bucs’ passing game after they add a much-needed wide receiver to stretch the field. This offense is ascending and Jameis Winston is now an officially a QB1 on my board.

After seeing Philadelphia add both Alshon Jeffrey and Torrey Smith to one of the league’s weakest receiving corps, I pushed Carson Wentz up to No. 17, two spots higher than his FantasyPros.com Expert Consensus Ranking (ECR) in my QB ranks as he braces for his second season as a pro.

Still without a starting job, Tony Romo currently hovers around 23rd in the rankings and that is projecting him to find a home so his ceiling isn’t much higher.
