MY PICK: COLTS - Two words. Kyle Orton. The Colts are a mortal lock. I may rank the Patriots and Broncos higher in the Confidence Pool picks this week, but I would rather save the Patriots and I rarely go with a road team in a Survivor pool, much less in the first week.

OUT ON A LIMB: BENGALS - This may be one of the few weeks of the season to consider the Bengals. In most pools you can't use the same team twice, but the Ravens are a mess right now and I just can't see them winning this game, the first ever as a head coach for John Harbaugh and the first as an NFL QB for Joe Flacco.
