Date of birth: June 9, 1978

Birth place: Cincinnati, Ohio

Sport: Soccer

Bio: She played soccer in high school for St. Ursula Academy in Cincinnati, Ohio and in college for the University of Florida, becoming an All-American, and led the team to a national title in her junior year (1998). Mitts played for the Philadelphia Charge, a team in the Women's United Soccer Association. She was also part of the gold medal-winning U.S. Olympic soccer team in 2004 and the U.S. team that finished 2nd in the 2006 Algarve Cup.

In 2004, Mitts was voted as "Hottest Female Athlete" by the users of ESPN.com. She is also a sideline reporter for ESPN2 and ABC's coverage of Major League Soccer, and is a columnist for ESPN Soccernet.

On May 12, 2007 Mitts tore her ACL in an international friendly with Canada. This injury put Mitts out of contention for the Women's World Cup in the fall of 2007.

On June 23, 2008 Mitts was named on the 18-player US roster for the 2008 Olympics.
