Office Pool Frenzy: Week 7

15. October 2008  - Published by Dan Clasgens
Through six weeks of the season I have picked 57 out of 87 (65.6%) possible winners, including my second straight dud week (7 for 14) in which I only managed 59 out of a possible 105 points...OUCH. You are going to have weeks like that, but the steak is going to end this week, I feel it. Hopefully you went out a limb last week and took the Jets, who weren't much of a risk once Carson Palmer was ruled out. The Skins knocked out many though. I stayed alive in my pool by taking the Vikings against the Dan Orlovsky-led Lions.  Against the spread I pulled out the Browns and didn't even need the 9 points, but the Cowboys and the parlay missed. Here are my picks for this week's action:
CONFIDENCE POOL
SURVIVOR PICK
AGAINST SPREAD

14. BUCS (vs. Sea)
13. REDSKINS (vs. Cle)
12. COWBOYS (@StL)

11. TEXANS (vs. Det)
10. STEELERS (@Cin)
9. GIANTS (vs. SF)
8. TITANS (@KC)
7.
BEARS (vs. Min)
6. SAINTS (@Car)
5. JETS (@Oak)
4.
BRONCOS (@NE)
3. BILLS (vs. SD)
2. DOLPHINS (vs. Bal)
1. PACKERS (vs. Ind)

MY PICK: BUCS - Seattle is without Matt Hasselbeck once again and have to travel to Tampa to face a tough Bucs' D. Don't hesitate using the Bucs this week.

OUT ON A LIMB: TEXANS - These two teams only have one win between them, but they are worlds apart. Texas has looked competitve nearly every week and the Lions are the biggest laughing stock in the league that is not based in Cincinnati.

Season Starting Balance: $500
Balance Heading Into Week: $629

$55 Under 43 CLE/WAS

$33 Bills +1

$30 - 2-Team Parlay
--Broncos +3
--Under 48 DEN/NE
