Whether it's a bad economy or they simply feel content, the Reds' roster appears to be set - for now.
Reds' GM Walt Jocketty appears to be set and doesn't anticipate much more movement.
"Right now, I would say yes. But I'm still looking at ways to improve
it, I'm still trying to improve the bench." Jocketty told C Trent Rosecrans of TheLotD when asked if the roster was set. "I'm also kind of in the
mindset that we've got a lot of new guys and we've got a lot of things
to look at, I'd like to get into camp before we start tinkering with it."
The team will likely go into Spring Training without making any more significant moves.
Is Jonny Gomes, Willy Taveras, and re-signing Jerry Hairston enough to satisfy the team's need for outfielders?
Only time will tell. Don't be surprised to see the team tinker with things even after Spring Training though.
The pitching seems to be adequate in both the rotation and bullpen, but I am not sold on this offense just yet.
