Matt Hasselbeck - Seattle Seahawks
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Seattle Seahawks QB Matt Hasselbeck (ribs) has been discharged from a San Francisco hospital and was allowed to return to Seattle with the team. Hasselbeck likely would not have been allowed to return with the team if he were seriously hurt.
Marc Bulger - St. Louis Rams
St. Louis Rams QB Marc Bulger (back) was shaken up Sunday, Sept. 20, after taking a hard hit. He got up off the field holding his lower back.
RUNNING BACKS
Marion Barber - Dallas Cowboys
Chris Mascaro, of Newsday, reports Dallas Cowboys RB Marion Barber III (quadriceps) left the team's Week 2 game with a quadriceps strain.
Cedric Benson - Cincinnati Bengals
Geoff Hobson, of Bengals.com, reports Cincinnati Bengals RB Cedric Benson (ankle) said he suffered a slight ankle sprain in the first quarter of the team's Week 2 game, but he indicated he would be fine.
Brian Westbrook - Philadelphia Eagles
Updating a previous report, The Associated Press reports Philadelphia Eagles RB Brian Westbrook (ankle) hopes to play in Week 3 after spraining his right ankle Sunday, Sept. 20. Westbrook underwent surgery on his right ankle to remove scar tissue and bone fragments in June.
Mike Bell - New Orleans Saints
Updating a previous item, Adam Caplan, of Scout.com, reports New Orleans Saints RB Mike Bell (knee) might have an MCL sprain, according to a league source. He is scheduled to undergo an MRI Monday, Sept. 21.
WIDE RECEIVERS
Domenik Hixon - New York Giants
Mike Garafolo, of the Star-Ledger, reports New York Giants WR Domenik Hixon (knee) left the team's Week 2 game in the first half with a knee injury and did not return.
Lance Moore - New Orleans Saints
Doug Tatum, of The New Orleans Times-Picayune, reports New Orleans Saints WR Lance Moore (hamstring) suffered a hamstring injury Sunday, Sept. 20, against the Philadelphia Eagles. He is not going to return to the game.
Steve Smith - Carolina Panthers
Darin Gantt, of The Rock Hill Herald, reports Carolina Panthers WR Steve Smith (undisclosed) went down hard at the end of the first half Sunday, Sept. 20. He was screaming as he went down. Smith opted not to be taken off on a cart, instead he left the field with trainers. His status for the second half of the game is not currently known.
