Big Ten Could Use Notre Dame

Since this expansion train isn't going to be stopped, and if the Big Ten is smart enough to keep it to 12 schools (think the NHL, NBA, MLB and maybe the Big East regret overexpansion?), let's get to the hard part, the "who."

Of course, nothing really matters without Notre Dame. It has to be Notre Dame.

Yes, the Irish famously rejected the Big Ten in 1999, but times are different.

Notre Dame may finally need the Big Ten as much as the Big Ten needs Notre Dame, if only to satisfy each other's relevancy issues.

And what of that Notre Dame TV contract? Potentially, the Irish could make more through the Big Ten's revenue-sharing plan.
