Aaron Hill (TOR) – The Blue Jays’ second basemen is one of fantasy’s most over-hyped players as he’s coming off of a season that saw him hit a career-high 36 homeruns and 108 RBI. He makes for a great pick in the mid-rounds of the draft, but expecting those power numbers to dip substantially so don’t over pay for him.
Luis Castillo (NYM) – At 34 he’s losing his most valuable asset, speed. He’s coming off one of his best years in recent memories, but most of that can be attributed to the fact he played in 140 games. Castillo is still a solid contact hitter, but with durability a growing concern and his declining ability to steal bases he’s a low-end middle infielder at best.
Others that could prove to be overhyped: Brian Roberts (BAL), Dan Uggla (FLA), Clint Barmes (COL)
