Though rankings are always nice, I prefer drafting my fantasy teams using a tier system. The idea is to have as many upper tier players at as many positions as possible. It works the best in fantasy baseball as balance is often a key to success. Here are my tiers for second basemen for the 2010 season.
TIER 1
Chase Utley (PHI)
TIER 2
Dustin Pedroia (BOS), Ian Kinsler (TEX), Robinson Cano (NYY), Brandon Phillips (CIN)
TIER 3
Aaron Hill (TOR), Ben Zobrist (TB), Brian Roberts (BAL), Howie Kendrick (ANA), Jose Lopez (SEA)
TIER 4
Kelly Johnson (ARZ), Martin Prado (ATL), Dan Uggla (FLA), Rickie Weeks (MIL), Orlandon Hudson (MIN), Scott Sizemore (DET)
TIER 5
Felipe Lopez (STL), Clint Barmes (COL), Luis Castillo (NYM), Akinori Iwamura (PIT), Freddy Sanchez (SF)
TIER 6
