Office Pool Picks: Week 16

23. December 2010  - Published by Dan Clasgens

Winning NFL picks, odds and power rankings all from our friends at Doc's Sports Service.

With Christmas coming on Saturday, I am posting this week's Office Pool Picks a couple of days early. Week 15 brought a mixed bag of results. I nailed the games I loved hitting six of my top seven choices in the confidence pool. However, the close calls didn't go my way as I finished the week with a dismal 7-8 mark. My Survivor picks were spot on though. People may have sweated out my Patriots' pick, but my out on the limb with the Raiders was smooth sailing. Oakland (-6.5) also hit on my four-star play, but the 'Under' on the PIT/NYJ just missed. Still, we won money for the week...Here are my picks for Week 16:

CONFIDENCE POOL
SURVIVOR PICK
AGAINST SPREAD

16 Steelers vs. CAR
15 Eagles vs. MIN
14 Patriots at BUF
13 Cowboys at ARZ
12 Bucs vs. SEA
11 Jaguars vs. WAS
10 Chargers at CIN
9 Texans at DEN
8 Chiefs vs. TEN
7 Ravens at CLE
6 Colts at OAK
5 Rams vs. SF
4 Bears vs. NYJ
3 Lions at MIA
2 Falcons vs. NO
1 Packers vs. NYG

Year-to-date: 117-80 (0.594 winning percentage)

MY PICK: STEELERS - If you still have the Steelers sitting there now is the time to use them. After a tough loss to the Jets, Pittsburgh will be ready to take it out on the lowly Panthers as the pay a Thursday night visit to Heinz Field.

OUT ON A LIMB: JAGUARS - Rex Grossman didn't look bad last week except for the three interceptions he tossed in a loss to Dallas. The Jaguars lost control of their own destiny and have no margin for error if they want to keep the post-season hopes alive.

Season Starting Balance: $500
Balance Heading Into Week: $852

$110 Cowboys -6.5

$55 Jaguars -7

$30 3-Team Parlay
--Lions +3.5
--Ravens -3.5
--Over 39 SF/STL
