Xavier's bid to become the only team to play in the Sweet 16 for the fourth consecutive year came up short Friday night. Marquette stifled the Musketeers offense on the way to a 66-55 win.
 
The Golden Eagles came in with a game-plan to shut Tu Holloway down and did exactly that. Marquette decided to put their best player, 6-foot-7 forward Jimmy Butler, on Holloway - a risk with Holloway's ability to draw fouls.

The gamble paid off for the Golden Eagles. Butler limited Holloway to 5 points on 1-of-8 shooting.
