NFL Draft: Round 1 Tweets

29. April 2011  - Published by Dan Clasgens

Here were some of my instant recation tweets from last night's first round...

--The #Saints did well trading up to grab #Alabama RB Mark Ingram at No 28 in the first round of the #NFLdraft

--Mike Pouncey (C) goes to #Dolphins. It marks 7th #SEC player taken in the first 15 picks of #NFLdraft. Nice pick by the Fish!!!

--Make it 4 QB's in the first 12 picks of #NFLdraft as #Vikings go early for Christian Ponder. Plenty to like but way earlier than we thought

--#Jaguars put pressure on David Garrard by trading up to get QB Blaine Gabbert. Three QB's going in the first 10 picks.

--The #Titans go from Vince Young to Jake Locker. The QB situation in Tennessee could actually get worse. #nfldraft

--#Browns get five picks from #Falcons so Atlanta could draft WR Julio Jones. Big homerun by Mike Holmgren in rebuilding in Cleveland.

--Patrick Peterson goes to #Cardinals best lock down corner in draft. Man these mock drafts are looking pretty good so far.

--Way to go #Bengals taking WR AJ Green according to multiple sources. Could be best wideout to comeout in past 10 years.

--Marcell Dareus is a LARGE man. Just exactly what #Bills needed to do with the No. 3 pick

--Von Miller LB going from Texas A&M to #Denver. Perhaps the best playmaker in the #NFLdraft.

--No surprise . With the No. 1 pick of the #NFLdraft the #Panthers are taking QB Cam Newton out of Auburn. Huge risk, but with high upside.

--#NFL commish Roger Goodell getting booed with fans cheering "We want football". Amazing
