Office Pool Picks: Week 3

24. September 2011  - Published by Dan Clasgens

I came out with bang with my inital picks of the season in Week 2. I nailed 12 out of 16 winners and got 119 out of 136 possible points in the Confidence picks. Three of my four losses were my bottom three games. Both of my Survivor picks (PIT and DET) cruised to victory. I went 2-2-1 Against the Spread, finishing $10 ahead. I hit on the Bucs (+3) and the Steelers (-10), pushed on the Cowboys (-3) and lost on the Eagles (-2.5) and the Under 40 in the Bengals/Broncos game. I am ready to build on last week's effort with an even better result here:

CONFIDENCE POOL
SURVIVOR PICK
AGAINST SPREAD

16 Chargers vs KC
15 Steelers at IND
14 Panthers vs JCK
13 Cardinals at SEA
12 Eagles vs NYG
11 Patriots vs BUF
10 Packers at CHI
9 Falcons at TB
8 Titans vs DEN
7 Ravens at STL
6 Lions at MIN
5 Jets at OAK
4 Dolphins at CLE
3 Bengals vs SF
2 Saints vs HOU
1 Redskins at DAL

Year-to-date: 12-4 (0.750 winning percentage)

MY PICK: CHARGERS - Picking against the Chiefs may become the norm. It worked last week with the Lions and I trust those that place their faith in San Diego this week will cruise through again.

OUT ON A LIMB: PANTHERS - Cam Newton has been stellar through the first two weeks of his rookie season, but the Panthers are 0-2. Look for that to change this week as they host the Jaguars, who are starting a rookie of their own in Blaine Gabbert. Look for Carolina to prevail by more than a touchdown in this one.

Season Starting Balance: $500
Balance Heading Into Week: $510

$110 Panthers -3.5

$55 Redskins +6.5

$30 3-Team Parlay
--Lions -3.5
--Bills +9
--Steelers -10
