Office Pool Picks: Week 1

7. September 2012  - Published by Dan Clasgens

It's another season and a fresh start. Here's my first stab at making NFL picks for the 2012 season:

CONFIDENCE POOL
SURVIVOR PICK
AGAINST SPREAD

15 Bears vs IND
14 Texans vs MIA
13 Lions vs STL
12 Eagles at CLE
11 Panthers at TB
10 Vikings vs JCK
09 Patriots at TEN
08 Saints vs WAS
07 Bills at NYJ
06 Falcons at KC
05 Seahawks at ARZ
04 Broncos vs PIT
03 Packers vs SF
02 Raiders vs SD
01 Ravens vs CIN

Year-to-date: 0-0 (0.000 winning percentage)

MY PICK: BEARS - I never try to go with an away team in Survivor and its not an option in Week 1. I am big on the Bears in 2012 and opening at home against a rookie QB and a subpar defesne is too hard for me to resist.

OUT ON A LIMB: VIKINGS - There aren't many weeks I see the Vikings going into this column and with start RB Adrian Peterson not at 100 percent it's risky. Still at home to the lowly Jags can't be ignored.

Season Starting Balance: $500
Balance Heading Into Week: $500

$110 Lions -7

$55 Bills +3

$30 3-Team Parlay
--Over 42.5 CHI/DET
--Vikings -4
--Broncos -1.5
