Gametime Decisions: Week 1

8. September 2012  - Published by Dan Clasgens

Here's a quick look at injuries that may impact fantasy lineups in Week 1...

QB
Andy Dalton (hand): The Bengals QB will start on MNF vs. BAL; upside is limited though.

RB
Arian Foster (knee): soreness in knee makes him a GTD (1pm kick); Ben Tate could go off.
Adrian Peterson (knee): remains “limited” and is a GTD vs. JCK; limited upside even if he plays.
Marshawn Lynch (back): been limited and is GTD for 4:25 kick vs. ARZ: Robert Turbin would start.
Trent Richardson (knee): has been a full go at practice all week and is expected to start vs. PHI.
Ryan Mathews (collarbone): now targeting Week 2 as a return; Ronnie Brown to get starting nod.
Beanie Wells (hamstring): added to the injury report late after a tweak; 4:25 kickoff for GTD.
Jonathan Stewart (ankle): Panthers remain optimistic he can play, but he’s a true GTD.
Rashard Mendenhall (knee): practiced “fully” on Friday, but listed as doubtful; unlikely to play.
Isaac Redman (ankle): a full-go at practice Friday; will start, but Jonathan Dwyer could steal show.
Brandon Jacobs (knee): hasn’t practiced all week and despite questionable tag unlikely to play.
Bernard Scott (hand): will not play in Week 1 after missing the entire preseason with hand injury.
Shane Vereen (foot): will not play in Week 1 vs. TEN; Stevan Ridely should get full load.
Alex Green (knee): late addition to injury report, but remains probable; will be limited by touches.

WR
Marques Colston (foot): has been limited all week and questionable for Week 1 vs. WAS; 1PM GTD
Steve Johnson (groin): nagging groin has cost him practice time; likely to play, but value dropping.
Denarius Moore (hamstring): was “limited” on Friday but is looking like more of a go for MNF vs. SD.
Santonio Holmes (knee): is probable and expected to suit against BUF.
Austin Collie (concussion): was able to be limited participant in practice and will be GTD at CHI.
Golden Tate (knee): has already been ruled out vs. ARZ; Braylon Edwards expected to start.

TE
Dustin Keller (hamstring): Rex Ryan says his TE is “ready to roll”; poor fantasy option regardless.
Ben Waston (leg): officially listed as questionable; not a great fantasy option either way.
