College Football Fantasy Focus

We are starting to get into the conference play in college football and with that comes rivalries and tougher matchups. But, there's still some great plays to exploit this week, and here's some of those to consider.

QB
Seth Doege
, Texas Tech - All Doege's done in the last two games is throw for 11 TDs and 650 yards. So, yeah, I'd say he's in the zone. Granted those were against inferior opponents, but Texas Tech faces Iowa State this week and I think Doege has another 3+ TD game in him again.

Aaron Murray, Georgia - Consistency is the name of the game in fantasy football, and few NCAA QBs have been as consistent as Murray. He's not thrown for less than 250 yards and has not had less than 2 TDs in any game this year. This week it's big ol' rival Tennessee, so look for Murray to carry on with his 250-300 yards and 2+TDs way.

RB
Stephen Houston
, Indiana - This one might be a reach, but the Hoosier running back finally had a great game last week, running for 100 yards and a TD. The good news is he's averaged at least one TD in every game, and he has a friendly matchup against Northwestern this week. Houston might even be on your waiver wire, and makes a sneaky play this week.

Mark Weisman, Iowa - Now that he's the starter for the Hawkeyes, look what Weisman has done. Last week he rattled off 217 yards and 3 TDs, week prior he had 113 yards and 3 TDs. This week Iowa plays Minnesota and it's a must start situation for Weisman.

WR
Tavon Austin
, West Virginia - If you have Austin, you probably won last week, provided you started him. 13 catches for 179 yards and 3 TDs is all Austin did last week. This week, he'll face Baylor in what is sure to be a shootout. Austin is a top 5 WR this week.

Keenan Allen, California - Again I bring up consistency. And that's Allen. He's averaged 9 catches over his last two games. He's struggled to find the end zone, but that changes this week versus Arizona State. This is the week to start Allen if you have him.

TE
Joseph Fauria
, UCLA - Fauria has three TDs on the season and could add to that total at Colorado this week. As is the case with all tight ends, it could be a few touches only, and feast or famine, but Fauria has the matchup to help you feast this week.

Ryan Griffin, UConn - Who? Yeah, he's not on anyone's radar, but last week he had 3 catches for 40 yards and a touchdown. This week, the Huskies play Buffalo for a matchup-friendly spot for Griffin. You could certainly do worse than Griffin this week.
