Office Pool Picks: Week 5

6. October 2012  - Published by Dan Clasgens

It wasn't easy, but I did turn in by far my best all around week of the season in WEEK 4. Not only did I go 11-4 in the confidence pools, but I also nailed both of my Survivor picks as Green Bay and Arizona both squeezed out victores. Against the spread produced mediocre results, but I finally turned a profit as San Fran came up big for me.:

CONFIDENCE POOL
SURVIVOR PICK
AGAINST SPREAD

14 Texans at NYJ
13 49ers vs BUF
12 Bears at JCK
11 Giants vs CLE
10 Vikings vs TEN
09 Falcons at WAS
08 Saints vs SD
07 Packers at IND
06 Ravens at KC
05 Bengals vs MIA
04 Patriots vs DEN
03 Rams vs ARZ
02 Steelers vs PHI
01 Panthers vs SEA

Year-to-date: 39-20 (0.661 winning percentage)

MY PICK: TEXANS - Rarely do I go with a road team in Survivor, much less on a Monday night but the Jets are reeling and no team has looked more impressive than Houston thus far.

OUT ON A LIMB: VIKINGS - Most still standing probably don't have the Texans available, so avoid a capable offense like Buffalo or taking the Giants, who seemingly always play close to bad teams at home, and roll with the Vikings hosting the Titans.

Season Starting Balance: $500
Balance Heading Into Week: $187

$110 NO - 3.5

$55 Steelers -3

$30 3-Team Parlay
--Broncos +7

--Browns +8
--Chiefs +6.5
