There’s a lot of great fantasy players on bye this week. Atlanta, Denver, Kansas City, Miami, Philadelphia and San Diego are all on bye. So, it’s scramble time. Scour the waiver wire, find the gem to help you get through this week and beyond. Here are some great adds this week.
QB
John Skelton, ARI – Kevin Kolb injured his rib, and Skelton entered the game. He did almost nothing in a limited amount of time. This week, Skelton gets Minnesota and a full-time gig. I only recommend Skelton if you have no other option. And I mean no other option only!
RB
Felix Jones, DAL – Ladies and gentlemen, here is your waiver wire pickup of the week! Demarco Murray got injured, and Jones entered the game. He ran for 92 yards and a TD last week. This week, Jones will get all the action in the Cowboys backfield and gets a juicy matchup against Carolina. Grab Jones and consider starting him this week and until Murray returns.
Alex Green, GB – Green got the bulk of the carries in Cedric Benson’s absence. In a tough matchup, Green ran for 65 yards and had one catch for 22 yards. These are average numbers, but could be serviceable to get you through bye weeks or injuries.

WR
Mike Williams, TB – Last year’s fantasy darling, and 2011 underacheiver of the year, Mike Williams is coming off back-to-back 100 yard receiving games. In Week 6 he caught 4 passes for 113 yards and a TD. In deeper leagues, Williams is probably owned, but in smaller leagues, he likely sits on your waiver wire, ripe for the picking.
Mario Manningham, SF – Since week three, Manningham has gotten at least five targets per game and averaged double digit fantasy points. Last week, he saw 10 targets, catching 5 passes for 72 yards. Manningham would be a nice addition to a team, and add depth to a fantasy squad.
TE
Brandon Myers, OAK – Could anyone name the tight end for the Oakland Raiders? Even after compiling four week’s worth of double digit fantasy points, Myers is mostly unowned and unknown. In leagues that require starting a tight end, and for owners of Tony Gonzalez, Brent Celek and Antonio Gates, Myers could fill a role against a putrid Jacksonville squad this week.
